Findings and diagnosis – Features consistent with pre and post septal orbital cellulitis, likely due to extension of infection from bacterial ethmoid sinusitis are present. The appearance is concerning for early subperiosteal abscess formation within the extraconal compartment of the medial right orbit, due to direct extension from the ethmoid sinusitis. MRI assessment of this may provide further information if there are no contraindications. Sinusitis is noted throughout the right paranasal sinuses
