Key findings - Asymmetric cerebellar tonsillar ectopia is noted, the left cerebellar tonsil exerting mass effect on the upper cord and suggestive of a Chiari 1-type malformation. The superior extent of a syrinx can be viewed at the upper cord on coronal images
