Key findings and diagnosis – classic features of a typical morphology closed loop obstruction are present in the right lower quadrant. Relative hypo-enhancement of the small bowel wall within the closed loop and moderate adjacent venous mesenteric oedema suggest a degree of ischaemia of the closed loop
